Job Summary:
YAP Pakistan is an EMI IPA License holder, As a Compliance Manager at YAP Pakistan, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our digital banking wallet operations adhere to all regulatory and legal standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing our compliance programs, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring that all operations of the digital banking wallet are conducted in a compliant manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs to ensure compliance with local, national, and international laws and regulations.
- Monitor regulatory updates relevant to digital banking and financial services and integrate necessary changes into our compliance frameworks.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk.
- Advise on the legal implications of new products, services, and technologies, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Work closely with other departments to establish controls and conduct internal compliance training and workshops.
- Respond to compliance inquiries from within the organization and coordinate with regulators as appropriate.
- Prepare and present clear compliance reports to senior management and external regulatory bodies.
- Ensure the proper reporting of violations or potential violations to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate or required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Compliance Officer, Compliance Analyst, or similar role, preferably within the financial services or technology sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations, particularly those related to digital banking and financial services.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Certification in compliance such as Certified Compliance Officer or equivalent.
- Experience with digital payment systems, e-wallets, or financial technology services.
